SeaForer
And Learn O voyager to walk, The Roll of earth, the pitch
and Fall, that swings across these treese and those stars;
that swings the sunlight up the wall.
And Learn upon those Narrow Beds to sleep in spite of sea, indite of
sound the rushing planted makes; and learn to sleep against
the ground.
The Pact
I make a pact with you, Walt Whitman, I have detested you
long enough. I come to you as a grown child, who has had a pig
headed father; I am old enough now to make friends. It was
you that broke the new wood, not it's time for carving,
we have one sap and one root; let there be between us.
